Oleg - Ambient robot lamp - Prototype

£390.00

Introducing the latest addition to the Artype robot family - Oleg!!

This ambient robot lamp is inspired by scientist and inventor, Oleg Losev, who created the green LED, the first light emitting diode and whose achievements remained mostly unknown for half a century.

Oleg stands approximately 32cm tall, 35cm wide and 32cm long in his default pose, however his legs are fully adjustable with each leg having 4 points of articulation. His head section also pivots around 30 degrees, giving him a wonderful element of expression!

He is mainly made of Mahogany with aluminium accents and features a Fujian GD-35 35mm lens with an adjustable aperture that can be used to change way he emits light.

He consists of 301 parts (190 wooden and 111 metal) - not counting electronics or lens.

His body features a number of cut outs that allow the LED lights within to permeate and subtly light his body. These LED's are colour adjustable, can be dimmed and can be cycled through using a remote control provided.

Oleg was originally designed to be used for stop frame animation, an example of which can be found on my instagram (@artypedesign)!

Before ordering Oleg, please specify your region and type of plug required as I will need to order a specific power supply for you.

Since this is a prototype, he is already almost complete, minus customer specifications for power and shipping preparation, therefore could be shipped in around 3 weeks.

Please note for postage reasons this item comes with the legs detached. However assembly of parts is quick and easy. All parts shown come with the item including tools to assemble.

Postage costs quoted are for standard airmail, however delivery by courier is available for an additional cost.
