ED-X01 Overview

 

Thank you for adopting your Ed-X01!

Every ED-X01 is truly unique. He’s not just unique due to the nature of the materials that he’s made from, or the fact that he’s made by hand, but his design is subtly altered with every one that is made – so no identical ED-X01’s will ever be discovered.

Your particular ED-X01 is also a limited edition and only one of this kind will ever be produced.

All of ED’s joints have been left a little loose so that he can be moved into the most useful position to assist you. Once he’s in the position you’d like him to remain in, use the included allen key and spanner (the 5.5mm end) to lock his joints (but don’t over-tighten the joints as this could hurt him – at the end of the day he is a delicate little chap!)

During transport his legs have been stored separately to ensure that he arrives safely. They are labelled left and right (as you look at Ed’s eye) to ensure that all his bolts go in the same direction. You will find these bolts in the same black bag as his spanner and allen key.

His Smart Bulb “eye” is made by Meross and is hubless, but it does require the Meross app to be installed on your phone, and the skill to be enabled on you home smart device’s (Alexa, Google home etc). The bulb is brand new and will need setting up on your wifi network. I’ve experimented with a lot of smart bulbs and in my opinion, the Meross is one of the best out there. If you need any further assistance there is an excellent problem solving and FAQ section within the Meross app, and if you can’t find what you need there, dont hesitate to drop me an email.
